Welcome to the United Congregational Church of Westerly! We invite all to come and join us in prayer and worship each Sunday.
The roots of our beliefs go back to the Ten Commandments, yet they are very much about today. We embrace the eternal values of faith, prayer, and communion, and the modern values of acceptance, inclusiveness, and justice. We are both serious and joyful about the Gospel, the Good News that Jesus Christ proclaimed. We encourage people to search, discover, and flourish: to seek their own answers, look inside themselves, and explore their relationship with God.
Feel free to explore the rest of our Web site. We have articles about the history of our congregation, and how we came to be of both Rhode Island and Connecticut; what to expect at one of our worship services; our missions to the community; a collection of our pastor's sermons; and a calendar of upcoming events.

Note: as some visitors to this page may know, our pastor, Rev. Kathleen Crockford, was in a serious automobile accident in late May. The doctors predict that she will fully recover, but she will be unable to lead worship for several months. In the meantime, our worship services will be led by a substitute pastor, Amy Frenze, with help from other pastors from the Rhode Island Conference of the UCC, and by our exceptionally capable deacons. As always, you are welcome at our church.
